Sena Origin

Shiv Sena, also known by the name Sena, is an Indian far-right regional political party and the party’s primary base is still in Maharashtra, heading towards the pan-Indian base. Its ideology is based on Hindu nationalism (Hindutva), founded on 19 June 1966 by Journalist, Cartoonist & Political activist Late. Shri Balasaheb Thackeray. Shri Balasaheb Thackeray Ji outstandingly known as “Shiv Sena Pramukh” was Born on 23 January 1926, Pune, Maharashtra, India.

Balasaheb Thackeray Ji was married to Meena Thackeray Ji and had three sons, Bindumadhav, Jaidev and Uddhav. As the Pramukh (Chief) of the Shiv Sena Party, Balasaheb used to take all the major decisions and which were implemented from out most grassroots level by its members and party shiv sainiks. During his last days, the day-to-day activities of the party were taken care by his youngest son Uddhav Thackeray Ji. In the year 2004, Uddhav Thackeray Ji became the Shiv Sena Party leader although Balasaheb continued to be an important figurehead. After the death of Balasaheb Thackeray Ji on 17 November 2012, complete party responsibilities were handed over to Shri. Uddhav Thackeray but at the same time he refused to take the title as “Shiv Sena Pramukh”.

Shiv Sena Party believes that ‘leaders need not do different things, it would be sufficient if they can do things differently’ and this is what is required presently in India. Shiv Sena felt the need of young fresh minds to come into politics who strive to make the country better, with this intention Shiv Sena introduced Aditya Thackeray son of Uddhav Thackeray and grandson of Balasaheb Thackeray. He is presently the chief of Yuva Sena, a youth wing of Shiv Sena Party.

The Shiv Sena Bhavan located at Ram Ganesh Gadkari Chowk, Dadar locality in Mumbai has been Headquarters of the Sena since 1976. The Sena’s Shakhas (Branches) spread throughout the state of Maharashtra and since 1990’s very progressively Shiv Sena extended its party roots to pan India.

Extending Roots to Telangana

In the process of expanding the party roots to a Telangana State under the guidance of Sri. Uddhav Thackeray, National President of Shiv Sena Party gave the legitimate authority to Sri T.N Murari as President of Shiv Sena Party in Telangana, to lead the Sena from the front in the state.

As T.N. Murari, well known for his leadership qualities from his college days, he used to participate in ABVP (Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad) activities on a regular base. After his graduation in BSc Computer Science from A.V. College, Hyderabad, India, entered Bajrang Dal as a young active karyakarta from there he became City Convenor of Bajrang Dal where he was completely nurtured into a Hindu fundamentalism personality. While working as City Convenor, he was very much inspired by Sri. Balasaheb Thackeray ji and was regularly in touch with Balasaheb ji.

Seeing T.N. Murari striving for the Rights of Hindu to Survive with Dignity & Sovereignty, which has been appreciated by Balasaheb Thackeray ji and became one among the trustworthy of Balasaheb ji and his son Uddhav ji. Since then T.N. Murari has guided Sena in expanding its roots towards Telangana State.

Thus the journey started of Sri. T.N. Murari ji, who has guided the Sena actively and has seen the party involving in all the state activities from the grassroots in resolving the most of the local, issues in their localities itself.
